War is about winning the hearts and minds of the people in the USA and Afghanistan and elsewhere. These immoral killings were about losing control of the soldiers and the war and the officers in charge should be judged accordingly as failures.

Only our federal government could with a straight face say a corrective action for an ATC sleeping be to add another controller and only in America could the unbiased media report it as a corrective action.

The union did not contact workers and tell those affected what resources they had available. Instead the looked for a photo they could parade around to advance their agenda which by the way has little to do with the LONG TERM good of the workers from whom they extract dues.

Unions were a good thing a long time ago. They now have the power to extort higher wages for their members that the general population by the threat of stopping things.

in a culture like the writer would have, those making mistakes would not get promoted. The best way to "not get promoted" would be to take no risks and to do little. I do not want people like that working in the CIA. Unfortunately that is the way many government jobs work.

In the world of the writers, those "making mistakes" should not be promoted. In a culture like that in a government agency, it would make all people afraid of making a "mistake" and make them risk adverse that little would get done.

He was going fast and overtook the guy and used his hand to keep from running into him, but he should be disqualified because the guy went down and was unable to compete. It is the nature of the sport.
